値 | Herein, we describe a photocatalyzed atom-transfer radical addn. (ATRA) reaction using a heteroleptic copper(I) complex bearing a bipyridyl-based NN ligand and a 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl (BINAP) based PP ligand. The selected heteroleptic complex was [Cu(BINAP)(cup)](PF6), which was used because of its intense absorption in the visible region and its long excited-state lifetime. The reported copper photocatalyzed reactions of olefins with carbon tetrabromide afford the products in moderate-to-excellent yields under irradn. with a 3 W, 400 nm light emitting diode (LED). | |||||
