The prognosis of ICH is poor due to the drastic and rapid progression of its pathology, and the lack of effective treatments presents a significant unmet clinical need. The present paper provides several evidences about the relationship between ICH bleeding status and mortality and the potential therapeutic effects of an iron chelator for ICH.\n\n\nMethods\n\nZebrafish are a highly transparent animal model, allowing live imaging of the complex cerebral vasculature. Thus, to further elucidate ATV-induced ICH, we investigated the concentration- and time-dependent phenotypes of ATV-induced ICH with zebrafish larvae.\n\n\nResults\n\nThe effects of ATV on mortality and ICH incidence in zebrafish larvae were concentration-dependent. Further, ATV treatment decreased vascular density of the hindbrain in a concentration-dependent manner, and hematoma volume was inversely correlated with ATV concentration. The number of cranial TUNEL-positive apoptotic cells was markedly increased 3 days post-fertilization. Importantly, the iron chelator deferasirox (DFR) decreased the incidence of ATV-induced ICH in zebrafish larvae.\n\n\nConclusion\n\nThese findings provided insight into the pathology and regulatory mechanism of ATV-induced ICH, and demonstrated the therapeutic effects of iron chelators."}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"metadata only access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_14cb"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"journal article","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Therapeutic Effects of Iron Chelation in Atorvastatin-Induced Intracranial Hemorrhage of Zebrafish Larvae","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Therapeutic Effects of Iron Chelation in Atorvastatin-Induced Intracranial Hemorrhage of Zebrafish Larvae","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"3","owner":"106","path":["327"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2020-09-11"},"publish_date":"2020-09-11","publish_status":"0","recid":"14156","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Therapeutic Effects of Iron Chelation in Atorvastatin-Induced Intracranial Hemorrhage of Zebrafish Larvae"],"weko_creator_id":"106","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-19T07:45:42.580169+00:00"}
