In this last twenty one years, these studies covered a wide area, and the following reports were found : studies on the elucidation of origin and the histotaxonomy of crude drugs; development of natural medicinal resources from various countries ; studies with the scanning electron microscopy ; low-temperature ashing method with high-frequency oxygen plasma, that is, observation of crystals in crude drug tissue ; fundamental studies on the evaluation of crude drugs with soft X-ray ; microscopic identification of crude drugs in their preparations, and the like.
